Camdon Recycling Limited is your Municipal Recovery Facility for Cape Breton Regional Municipality.
This Facility accepts residential and commercial recycling that is processed and marketed both locally and abroad.

We are a dedicated, hard working team, with a wealth of experience ranging from 4 to 20 plus years!

CBRM’s Residential Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Depot


Camdon Recycling Limited also operates CBRM’s Residential Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Depot. The HHW depot provides CBRM residents a safe disposal location to take their hazardous materials they no longer have a use for.

CBRM’s HHW Depot is licenced to accept residentially generated materials only! Institutions, commercial businesses and industries that have hazardous waste materials to dispose of are encouraged to contact the Waste Management Hotline at (902) 567-1337 for disposal options.

What is Residential Household Hazardous Waste?

Residential household hazardous waste would include any products that contain any of the following warnings Poisonous, Corrosive, Explosive or Flammable marked on their labels.

Products containing any of the above symbols should NOT be disposed of in the garbage, blue bags or green cart.

These products pose a risk to collectors and staff who have to collect and handle these materials.

CBRM residents who have residual or unwanted household hazardous waste to dispose of are encouraged to take them to CBRM’s Household Hazardous Waste Depot for safe handling and disposal.

There is no cost to drop off HHW materials at CBRM’s residential HHW Depot.
